Online Repository Portal Overview
The Online Data Repository is a web-based software application that brings together various data sources to make them available online to stakeholders. It allows public administration systems to publish data to a web portal in order to better service its customers and ensure full transparency to the public. Data transfers are facilitated through the RDx data exchange service based on the latest RESTful API protocols.
The new MCAS 4.4 automatically synchronizes data with the portal, provided the MCAS server has internet connection.
Each dataset is presented in a "workspace”, and allows easy navigation, filter, sorting, data analysis, reporting and downloading of data.

Maps module with spatial data
The portal has a maps module displaying spatial data on a map which allows the user to filter on a company or a license type.
The map shows the license profile when clicking on the plot areas.

Where is the data coming from?
The data is published directly from public administration systems, such as MCAS, FRAS, tax adminsitration systems or customs systems.
How good is the data security?
RDF use the latest we security frameworks and installed on servers with https secure protocol, following international best practice in data security. The portal is hosted on Amazon Web Service, which has the fastest and most reliable cloud infrastructure.

How much does the system cost?
The repository portal is a free service from RDF. The system is provided without license fees or any recurrent software license costs by RDF as a non-profit organization, provided that the client institutions adhere to the RDF Condtions of Usage. The project cost of implement the underlying public administration systems are determined by how much time RDF staff are spending with the client to implement.
How is the project implementation funded?
The projects implementing the underlying public administration systems are usually funded by development partners in-country as a two-year capacity development project.
